All you need are a handful of basic ingredients to make the best homemade ranch dressing recipe. It’s just like the ranch served at restaurants and will pair perfectly with your favorite green salad.


Ingredients :

  • Half a cup of milk
  • Half a cup of mayonnaise
  • Half a cup of bitter cream
  • Half a teaspoon of black pepper
  • Half a teaspoon of sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • half a teaspoon of parsley
  • ½ teaspoon of chives
  • 1 teaspoon of dill herbs
  • 1 to three teaspoons of lemon juice


Instructions :

  1. In a huge bowl, pour the bitter cream, yogurt and mayonnaise.
  2. Mix with 1 tablespoon of sparkling lemon juice
  3. Using a whisk, download each of the herbs and spices and whisk well until blended
  4. Add more lemon juice to achieve preferred consistency.
  5. Put them in jars or squeeze bottles and put them in the refrigerator.
  6. Write the one-week expiration date on a piece of protective tape.

Ingredients :

For the Dough:

  • All-Purpose Flour: 3 cups
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Unsalted Butter (chilled): 1/2 cup (1 stick)
  • Cold Water: 1/2 cup
  • Egg Yolks: 2 (divided)


For the Filling:

  • Ground Beef (or chopped leftover roast): 1 lb
  • Waxy Potatoes (red or Yukon gold): 1 lb, diced
  • Carrots: 2, peeled and diced
  • Onion: 1 small, diced
  • Worcestershire Sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Dried Rosemary: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dried Thyme: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kosher Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper: to taste


Instructions :

Dough:

  1. In a sizable bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. Introduce cold, cubed butter. Integrate it into the flour using two forks, a pastry blender, or even your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix water with one egg yolk. Gradually introduce this to your flour blend. Combine until the flour is fully incorporated.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a clean surface. Knead until it binds well.
  5. Wrap the dough using cling film and let it chill for a minimum of 30 minutes.


Filling:

  1. On medium-high heat, season the beef with salt and pepper, and brown it in a large skillet. Once done, transfer it to a bowl.
  2. In the same skillet, toss in potatoes, onions, and carrots. Cook until they soften. If necessary, introduce some olive oil or butter.
  3. Incorporate garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Cook for another minute.
  4. Splash in the Worcestershire sauce and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Combine this mixture with the beef. Season appropriately and allow it to cool.


Assembly:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Flour your surface and segregate the dough into 6 portions. Roll them into 3/8-inch thick circles. Trim any excess edges if required.
  3. Wet the dough’s edges with water. Spoon the beef filling onto the dough, ensuring to leave a half-inch border.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling and seal by crimping the edges or pressing with a fork.
  5. Shift the pasty onto the baking sheet. Ensure to make three small slits atop each for venting.
  6. Blend the remaining egg yolk with 2 tablespoons of water. Brush this over each pasty. Bake them until they achieve a golden brown hue, which should take 30-40 minutes.

Note: To freeze some pasties, avoid the egg wash and bake them for just 20 minutes. When you’re ready, apply the egg wash to the frozen pasty, and bake at 400°F for an additional 20 minutes.

Crock Pot Ranch Pork Chops and Potatoe

A super quick, easy and no-fuss weekday dinner recipe. Just drop everything in your slow cooker and forget about it. Slow cooker pork chops will be a new family favorite! And it’s only 5 minute prep time

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 Lbs Red Potatoes – quartered
  • 6 (3/4 inch) Boneless Pork Chops (or bone-in if available)
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Dry Ranch Seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter – cubed

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Sear pork chops in oiled skillet over medium/high heat. (optional)
  2. Mix oil, ranch and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Place potatoes and pork chops into slow cooker. Pour ranch mixture over the top and toss to coat potatoes and chops evenly.
  4. Top with butter cubes.
  5. Cooking on high heat for approximately 3 hours. On low, 5-6 hours. Salt/Pepper to taste.

AMISH BAKED CUSTARD

This luscious custard is so creamy and so filled with vanilla flavor that it’s no wonder people have been loving it for generations. It can be a nostalgic treat for many and well worth the bake time to recreate a dessert that holds such fond memories.


INGREDIENTS


  • 1 (14oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 cups hot water
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • nutmeg for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine condensed milk and hot water in a large glass or metal bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl beat eggs until light in color and fluffy in texture. Pour a bit of the hot milk mixture into eggs to temper, then combine them fully. Stir in vanilla and salt. Pour into ramekins and place on baking pan with high sides. Or use a 2-quart baking dish instead.
  3. Place pan in oven and fill with half inch of water. Bake for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. If using larger baking dish bake for 1 hour 40 minutes.
  4. Allow custard to cool for 1 hour. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve warm or refrigerate to serve chilled.

Pumpkin Pecan Cobbler is the ultimate fall dessert with cake on the top and hot caramel sauce on the bottom!

I think I’ve found pumpkin dessert mecca in the form of this Pumpkin Pecan Cobbler. I love a good chocolate lava cake, but no other dessert has really ever come close to that pinnacle of delicious. Until now? If you don’t like chocolate as much as you like pumpkin, then we are close to something that will blow your mind.

Ingredients

For the Cobbler

  • 1 cup + 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

For the Topping

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups very hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a medium sized bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and spices. Set aside.
  3. In a smaller bowl, stir pumpkin, milk, melted butter and vanilla together to combine. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix to create a thick batter. Pour into a small 8-inch casserole dish with high sides.
  4. In a separate bowl, stir sugar, brown sugar and pecans together. Spread over the top of the batter evenly. Pour hot water over the entire thing {WITHOUT STIRRING A THING!} and bake for 40 minutes or once the middle is set. {Be sure to place on a baking sheet incase it bubbles over.} Cool 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve with more pecans and vanilla ice cream.

Easy Chicken Parmesan Recipe

Chicken Parmesan is such a classic and one of those Italian dishes that everyone loves. The chicken is perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, but still juicy on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 1 small jar sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

How To Make Chicken Parmesan

  1. Season chicken breasts with pepper, salt, and half teaspoon oregano.
  2. Take a large skillet and melt butter over medium-high heat. You can also add a bit of oil from sun-dried tomatoes.
  3. Add chicken breast and cook for 3-4 minutes or until browned. When it is done, place it on the plate and set it aside.
  4. Add one tablespoon butter to the same pan for making the sauce. Cook garlic, onion, sun-dried tomatoes, and half teaspoon oregano.
  5. Now add heavy cream, chicken broth, and parmesan cheese and mix for 2-3 minutes or until combined and smooth. Now add salt and pepper (1 teaspoon is suggested) to your taste.
  6. Then add spinach and continue cooking until wilted.
  7. After that, add the chicken breasts back to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot!
