Mom's Flat Apple Pie is a treasured family recipe that's been passed down through generations, from my great-grandmother to my mother, and now to me. This delightful twist on the classic apple pie is more than just a dessert - it's a keeper of memories and a symbol of warmth and love. It's a staple at family gatherings and holiday dinners, evoking feelings of comfort and togetherness.
The story behind this pie is just as sweet as the filling. My great-grandmother created it out of her love for apples and her desire to whip up something quick and delicious. And it's stood the test of time - this pie remains a crowd-pleaser to this day.
Serve it warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra-special treat. For a delightful texture contrast, try adding crushed nuts or crumbled graham crackers on top. Whether it's a cozy night in or a special occasion, Mom's Flat Apple Pie is sure to put smiles on everyone's faces.
