Easy Pecan Pie Bars

Easy Pecan Pie Bars

Let’s talk about Pecan Pie Bars. These bars are one the most delicious desserts I have ever made. We’re talking about a brown butter shortbread crust and pecan pie filling that baked until caramelized. These bars are salty, sweet, crunchy, and chewy. They are so decadent and such a wonderful dessert for the holidays. I highly recommend you try this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt until the mixture is crumbly. Press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  6. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

ENJOY!!
